About Prachar Stegemann

June 2024 – Meditation Beyond Happiness

Prachar Stegemann has been dedicated to presenting Sri Chinmoy’s teachings for over 40 years, embarking on a life-long quest for deeper understanding, connection and fulfillment. His workshop, ‘Living Spirituality’ provides guidance and practical tips to establish daily meditation practice and unlock boundless potential. [1]

In a radio interview “Conversation-Hearts”, Prachar likened a volcano to the source of the earth, brimming with power and tremendous energy. Drawing from Sri Chinmoy’s writings, Prachar interprets the volcano as a symbol of determination and aspiration. The peak of a volcano represents intense change, growth and progress, making life truly worth living. While on one side, it may symbolize danger, on the other, it leads us to appreciate and realize the essence of life. [2]

Prachar’s talents extend more on spirituality; he is also an accomplished musician, particularly as a pianist and arranger. His musical arrangements, including the collection titled “The Road of Ecstasy”, offer a sweet and enthralling rendition of Sri Chinmoy’s melodies in a classical music style. [3]

In addition to travelling to give free meditation classes for his inspiring 60 city tour this year, Prachar also releases a regular podcast “Meditation Matters“. In this podcast, he shares wisdom through various aspects of life, emphasizing that the personal embodies the universe through analogies like Sri Chinmoy’s teachings: “We are the drops in the ocean, the drop and the vast ocean go together”. Prachar also expresses the coexistence of challenges and their corresponding antidotes within each individual, “as we contain every poisonous plant – fear, doubt, anxiety, insecurity, pride, jealousy, frustration, hatred, depression – so, we also contain somewhere nearby, each antidote – love, sympathy, faith, hope, gratitude, humility, enthusiasm, patience, cheerfulness.” [4]

Prachar’s creativity also showcase in his poetry. Apocalypse is a collection of 40 poems penned by Prachar in commemoration of his 40th souls day. [5]
